Desperate times require desperate measures????
RantWoman is taking it for granted that readers know that today for the first time ever a speaker of the US House of Representatives was removed from his position after a vote on a motion to Vacate.
RantWoman hopes that she is not the only person singing the tunes of:
1.Mr. #P01135809 is responsible for the second biggest one-day violent crime wave in US history since 9/11
2. #TFG keeps telling us all daily, in many cases several times a day that he has no intention of living up to his oath of office if re-elected. RantWoman WANTS to say THANKS for telling us you are completely ineligible even to have your name placed on the ballot. Unfortunately other people besides RantWoman have to act or not act based on that reality.
3. Please enjoy the most cogent statement RantWoman has seen of why Speaker McC HAD TO GO.
Indeed, RantWoman crosses her fingers as she says this: the country could do far worse for a Speaker of the House than Liz Freaking Cheney.
One does not have to be a member of the house to be speaker.
She could propose rules more conducive to intertribal civility.
She could refuse to appoint anyone as committee chair who voted against certifying Biden's election.
There are small matters of MAJOR policy disagreements but RantWoman is indulging in hope that Ms. C could both keep the focus on policy merits rather than personal whims AND cultivate willingness and efforts by everyone to work across the aisle.
Okay, Okay. RantWoman will do the best she can to keep her feet on the ground as things unfold. In the meantime, let us celebrate the settlement of the writers' strike and the return of the "talentless low-rated CREEPS" of late night television.
