International Women's Day Lucia Swarts Bach - Cello Suite No. 1 in G major BWV 1007 - Swarts | Netherlands Bach...

Don't worry. RantWoman will have plenty more words about International Women's day and attempts at National Women's History Month Binge Blog. But for now, how about Protestant mysticism from JS Bach seasoned with a few biographical links for Lucia Swarts

Bio from Challenge Records

Discogs Lucia Swarts

RantWoman is impressed: Lucia Swarts performs both Baroque music on a baroque cello and contemporary music in the Schonberg ensemble.

The first Wikipedia page that pops up for Lucia Swarts is in Dutch, not a language RantWoman is even willing to try to fake it in. The question of faking it though makes RantWoman think of her high school cello teacher: cello teacher had been a German linguist in the military, linguist as in, if the military got rid of all its gay linguists, it would have almost no linguists. Cello teacher opined that Dutch is a lot like German except when it's not and it's a lot like English. With that in mind, just enjoy the music!
