National Guard shooting: could Sarah Beckstrom still be here if we had more competent leadership?

THANK YOU for making important points no one else is making. Let's assume the guard members who were shot are idealistic young adults. To me their personal views don't matter beyond willingness to sign up for the national Guard. Yeah, they're from WV and yeah, it might be reasonable to make assumptions. Other points outweigh that. The guard is still in DC after a judge ruled the deployment is illegal and unnecessary because the administration is appealing, ie using every court thread they can pull to avoid complying with the court order. The guard is still in DC because President #StableGenius IGNORED strong recommendations from his own advisors that deploying them the way they have been deployed would expose them to exactly the kind of individual grievance the shooter brought to the picture. The other focus is on the shooter, his role working with the US in Afghanistan, and how well he was vetted when granted asylum. The shooter is one of 70,000 Afghans who came to the US. He is probably not the only one with really bad PTSD though who knows what made him snap and drive all the way across the US armed only with a .357 magnum. I don't know much about guns, but I don't think that would be the best option if he intended mass murder. To me in a very real way the DC shooting is all the atrocities associated with US role in Afghanistan and the subsequent Taliban takeover coming right to our shores. I am VERY sorry for the young woman who was killed and everyone close to her, but the way the current administration is handling the whole picture stinks to high heaven.
