Peace, Social Concerns. Threshed. Blogged.

The Following Blog Post

http://controlroom.blogspot.com/2014/10/threshing-session.html

represents:

--One window into the intersection of blogging, threshing sessions, and the recording of movements of Spirit?

--Thematic resonance with  the idea which comes and goes at RantWoman's Meeting of assigning all Peace and Social Concerns to Worship and Ministry?

--More interweaving of newcomers learning Quaker ways and oldtimers?

--Opportunity to reflect on the point that navy blue furniture in a white room offers WAY better contrast than grey chairs against grey carpeted walls of the chamber where such threshing customarily occurs in RantWoman's Meeting. RantWoman is not necessarily in a position to opine about whether greater contrast leads to greater clarity or more centered discernment but does note the visual contrast point.

The post from which the above item is linked

http://worldgame.blogspot.com/2014/10/revised-org-chart.html

represents:

--Hallelujah, a path to re-energize AFSC?

--The perfect riposte to someone from RantWoman's Meeting both nostalgic for the time when the local AFSC office overlapped considerably more with Meeting than presently and completely, at least to RantWoman's ear, disengaged from the idea that Quakers reaching into and cultivating ties with wider communities might be a GOOD thing?

--Important insight about peacemaking among Quakers, that is among different flavors of Quakers?

--More darned Quaker navelgazing but this time with a clever picture?

Is RantWoman the only one who craves not only this sort of discussion but also meaty spirit-centered engagement with the problems and passions of our day?

Okay, so RantWoman's individual engagement in these realms is also presently bumpy:

--RantWoman's plate of late has been FULL with a Recording Clerk role.

--RantWoman awhile ago got asked to rejoin Peace and Social Concerns by a member of Nominating Committee awash in swirls of unaddressed conflicts,  unexamined privilege of several flavors, and hunger for more of spirit. Can you say NO LEADING WHATSOEVER?

Hold all and sundry in the Light, PLEASE.
