Long ago when RantWoman could officially see, one of her favorite grad school nerd activities was to go and graze intellectually among a wide range of publications in the periodicals room at the library.
Now RantWoman sometimes relies on her eclectic Twitter /X entourage to cull nuggets. Here, thanks to one of RantWoma's X followers, RantWoman offers a concise though still divisive commentary about the school shootings at the church in Minneapolis.

"When people pray, they can find strength in the face of helplessness, wisdom at a time when nothing makes any sense, and comfort when the soul is being drawn into the abyss of grief."
Where is there room for RAGE?
Many in RantWoman's social media streams point out that #ThoughtsAndPrayers don't matter a lot if children were in fact PRAYING. That and the alleged shooter's writings of course also make the crime even more horrific.
RantWoman's perspective: OF COURSE people should pray with everyone mourning a death or sitting along the bedside of the gravely injured and the gravely injured themselves. OF COURSE. No-brainer for anyone who prays at all.
The point is not "Don't pray." The point is not "Stop praying." The point to RantWoman is like God slapping some Old Testament prophet up side of the head with a message like "I have given you ways to stop the slaughter and yet you refuse... and instead worship at the holy altar of political contributions.
As long as RantWoman is providing Dial-a-Tirade services though, RantWoman is going to wade into the other trope that happens every time a transgender person perpetrates a mass shooting: there are social media torrents about how all "transgenders" are mentally ill and presumably prone to mass shootings.
RantWoman emphatically begs to differ.
Can no one say "Religiously themed transphobia sometimes drives people to mass murder?"
Can no one say "a tiny percentage of transgender people commit mass shootings?"
Can no one say "Mass shootings committed by transgender people are a TINY percentage of all the mass shootings that happen in the US every year?"
Can no one say "IT'S STILL THE GUNS?".
