Lately events in Iran and the Middle East have overshadowed the war in Ukraine in US headlines.
Having real estate goons Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner out of the picture, not trying to push Ukraine into idiotic territorial concessions is, in RantWoman's view, unquestionably a very GOOD thing.
Also Ukraine keeps scoring military gains, attacking Russian oil refineries and fuel depots. Russia's economy is trembling. International sanctions force Russia to sell oil to China at a steep discount. Putin is facing another, increasingly unpopular mobilization. It would be awesome if there were some honest mediators in the picture.
Now to some details RantWoman is behind posting about.
Anyone remember Florence Nightingale and the Crimean War of the 1850's? Sorry, RantWoman does not actually remember a whole lot except the point that Russia has had a troubled relationship with attempts at empire for a LONG time before Putin seized it from post-Soviet Ukraine in 2014.
Now in 2026, Ukraine is on the verge of driving Russia out of Crimea with blatant proclamations that Russia should leave and sooner rather than later while the Kerch bridge Putin built after the 2014 invasion is still standing.
Let's start with Belle.
lesson for the US: modern renewable energy investment helps lessen pain associated with price fluctuation on the global energy market.
