Impressive set of choices to make the site easier to interact with visually. Also nicely described seal graphic. To be honest, RantWoman is is extremely relieved., Cross fingers and pray to all that is holy, the President Elect will shortly be displacing the current occupant of the White House. If we are lucky there will be somewhat less cringe-worthy media content about whatever the Soon-to-Be-Former President's disabilities are In that spirit, RantWoman did not do the kind of slightly more in depth analysis that might have found something to gripe about. Oh well.
On the Other Hand, RantWoman really does mean to engage about this event:
RantWoman is glad to know the Portland disability justice collective exists. The direct registration link with more background about the upcoming 2-day webinar can be found at
There is an interesting syllabus including several authors on RantWoman's mean to read list. There are resources mentioned both on paper and in PDF.
And, since this is RantWoman, a couple quibbles:
Age? How does age fit into this projects concept of intersectionality?
Alt text for images? RantWoman can tell there are some interesting images. RantWoman knows for example from observing the FLGBTQC website that labelling images when creating pages with Google is possible but RantWoman too has not figured out how to do it.
Please label yourself if you identify as transgender ... gender nonconforming? RantWoman is pretty into girls (of any age) can be whoever they need to be, play whatever musical instrument they want, read all the math they like, participate in whatever conversation style they want so RantWoman generally on principle just dances around the term "gender nonconforming." This time RantWoman checked the box.
The word Collective? RantWoman in her righteous youth thought the word collective was wonderful. RantWoman never wants to tell someone else what to call themselves, but RantWoman admits to a slight allergy to the word, the kind of allergy one sometimes develops with a lot of exposure.
But definitely the webinar and the site.
