Jimmy Carter's hometown prepares to say goodbye to former president

Since President Jimmy Carter has entered hospice, RantWoman is likely to collect video bits, probably spiced up with offerings from trademark RantWoman's inner blowtorch.

Look it's the same video in case this description hooks readers better than the other one.

Commentary from Planet RantWoman:

The 1980 election was the first election RantWoman was eligible to vote. RantWoman thinks that is the election where she was a poll watcher for the MT primary in June at the nearby elementary school. RantWoman was offered a ride home by a friend's mother. (TWO BLOCKS for Cripes sakes). Apparently RantWoman needed to hear that RantWoman's friends mother considered The League of Women Voters a teensy bit liberal for her taste but thought RantWoman might find it relevant. (Ummm....)

In November RantWoman voted absentee from college and thinks she probably voted Barry Commoner. RantWoman might have permitted herself to feel guilty about a third party vote throwing the race to Ronald Reagan, EXCEPT that Jimmy Carter conceded before the polls had even closed in the Mountain and Pacific time zones!

Memo to future Presidential--and Congressional--candidates: DO NOT DO THAT. Contest all districts. Hillary Clinton has no business blaming Bernie sanders and the Bernie Bros for her defeat if she barely campaigned at all in the upper Midwest. Likewise, Marjorie Taylor Greene's constituents deserve a better option!

But enough on that. Maybe draw lessons from Pres. carter praying for...
